Without a doubt this late 18th - early 19th century female figure was erected in honor of a male ancestor and is a masterpiece of the highest order. Similar to the Madeline Rosseau post it was undoubtedly collected at the same time among the Bara people. Also accompanying this sculpture is an essay by Dr. Jerome Feldman on this sculpture.
